Have you been working hard? Do you think this is the best way to be sucessfull? The article is about hard work and how society link this with success. The idea of having a busy day and a full schedule seems that you are committed, ambitious and successful. Forget about the real value that each job has, what really matters is how much your job take your time and life, and the worst thing is that stress seem downright fashionable by society.
A recente research showed that people who worked 100 hour per week, declined at performance, creativity, and judgment. These people had a lot of problems, which were physical and mental. They showed weigh gain, heart disease, depression, and insomnia. Another research showed that working too much can approach a premature death.
We all want to be succesfull, earn money and buy things. The actual decade is encouraging us to be slaves of our jobs, work overtime, stay all day conected. These hardwork routine can make us sick and forget about the purpuse of real happiness and sucess. Of course its a choice for each one, if you like to work hard and focus your life on this, its your life but if you really want to have a balanced and healthy life, you should not have these kind of thinking and behave.
After realize the actual problem, we should stop making it such a big deal and change somethings in our routines. For exemple, taking some weeks break, do not answer emails after we get out of work, changing our schedulle to a flexible one. Manage the workload, put all the focus on the work team and produce as much as possible when together, without draining the well.
There are three clues that we should follow ir order to have a healthy schedule: No smartphones at meal, take a long walk three times a week and one day off the grid each week. These three little things have more power than you can imagine, and create a flow between work and free time that makes you more productive at each moment. Incorporate relaxation exercises into your work day if your are feeling tense, help yourself and find things that keep you feeling good not stressfull.
How can we manage the heavy flow with our team? Because in the end the result will be the acomplishments shared by everyone and not how long does it takes to get there.
