Smart phone is very useful thing in our life. We can use this phone every day, every moment. This is very effective and interesting stuff. We can talk with our friend by message apps, search the informations that we need in the website for example google, and listening popular music. Drawing a paint by apps, composig the song by instrument program. We do not need anymore real paper, pens, drawing tool or instrument. It's amazing! There is some big issue of information technology era. And this new will give effect for information industry too.

Samsung, is a biggest company to make smartphone in the world, They started a free radio and music streaming service in America. The name of this streaming service is Milk Music. They wanted to enter the growing music streaming market. Milk music has a huge library of music, 13 million tracks to the table. People can get 200 pre-made stations and make their own music, those are free of charge. In addtion, we can unlimitly listen the music in this program. And no avertisements. It is innovative change for Samsung. The streaming service is very potential marcket. However, there are many obstacles to use the free streaming service due to copyright law. All of the computer programs, musics, film has their own copywrite. For using the free streaming system, the company must pay royalty to listen and download the music instead of customers. Compared to this company, Apple has already some free programs of music and radio. We must download the apps, often pay for streaming program. But, that program exist in our phone service.

Before several years ago, the issue was illegal downloading movie and music. We know that United Stated has very severe rules to observe copywrite law. It is more common rules than Korea. Evidently, This is another topic, but it realated a lot to new streaming service. The illegal downloading is a crime, but we can think that is not a such serious problem. For using more effective program no charge, at first, computer users also must obey the rules. In addition, the company also follow the law strictly.

 In the article “the end of drug discovery?” author Smitha Mundasad gives information to person who is engaged in pharmaceutical company. Specifically, author says that the current situation on industry of medicine is faced with hard crises and he informs what the future of industry of medicine is. First of all, a medicine which is invented in the old days discoveries that it is not working well than ever. Some pharmaceutical companies concern about their profitable medicine expires. Chas Bountra, who is professor at Oxford University, mentions that people do not exactly understand about human disease and about the condition of action of existing drugs. Then, it is hard to find molecule which is using to new drug. In addition to, there is more competition to publish results because most of companies study same molecule, carry on wasting resources and perform clinical trials to patient. There is increasing to develop a newest medicine with collaboration nowadays. Prof Workman convinces that there is need to collaborate in early stages of new medicine for diseases, however, the collaboration will turn into competition at later. in conclusion, he tells readers to recognize present situation.

This article very interesting to me because it is related my major in Korea. When I was freshman in University, a professor always said that Korea’s pharmaceutical companies are waiting for expiration of blockbuster medicine. The reason is only one. If original medicine is not expired, generic companies cannot manufacture a copy of original drug and sell it.  As soon as it is expired, Korea companies ready to publish generic drug. What is the generic drug? It is a copy of the original drug with the same dosage, safety and quality, but their price has less expensive. I convince that generic drug can open many more doors to patient treating their diseases than original drug. I agree that making copy drug is approved. I wonder whether Americans think positive about generic drug. United States and Korea cannot be treated as being the same because industry of medicine in United States is much bigger than Korea. It is really true that Pfizer annual sale more than including all of pharmaceutical company in Korea annual sale. Sadly, 2014 looks only a little brighter. What worries me most is the FTA between United States and Korea. My country is getting into a big trouble on industry of medicine. That does not have an effect on me immediately, but it will influence to me next year when I will find a good job.

North Korea Executes Kim Relative

A few months ago, North Korea executes Song Thaek Jang who is Kim’s relative and supervises to Jong Un Kim. Song Thaek Jang was found guilty which decided to foment insurrection and abused of drugs. He was executed just few days after ousting from his post. It was eye popping at national level in South Korea because this execution is in usual in North Korea, but it was never on such a scale. Some experts doubted whether Song Thaek Jang was really attempted to overthrow Jong Un Kim’s power because Song Thaek Jang was a major reason why Kim became a ruler and did everything for Jong Un Kim’s power and image. Experts thought that North Korea ruler needed to give a message which grass roots of population must follow his orders to North Koreans. There is no way to avoid Jong Un Kim’s orders. Most of North Korea’ central leader ship was from Jong Il Kim who is Jong Un’s father and central officers was 60-70 years old. So, Jong Un replaced central officers over 40 percents and rebuilt high level officer. They consist of younger generations loyal to him. After few days, there was a meeting to debate this situation in South Korea. A Unification Ministry said South Korea government is keeping an eye on recent event.

Before I came to United States, this event was a big problem in South Korea. Most of people debated this situation everywhere such as news on the TV, academy, café, school, company and internet. There is something even more staggering, Song Thaek was died tragically. When he was executed, hangman was using horrible weapon which name is anti-aircraft machinegun. It is usually used to kill people during the war, however, Jong Un Kim used this weapon to kill Song Thaek. I think that it is not humanitarian way, also it is quit silly to Jong Un Kim because most people have forgotten the events that occurred before then. Execution is a hot issue in today's society. I wonder whether other countries agree with execution. In North Korea, a defendant faced the death penalty, but it is replaced with life in prison. I cannot understand that he has no regard for execution to have his power. At the end of this way, I curious about this power that it can maintain until he want. I really appreciate that I was born in North Korea.

The Positive and Negative Effect of Video Games on Children -- Oscar

Regarding the video games, there are numerous kinds of video games such as sport games, first-person shooter games, and crime games. More that half billion people play video games or computer games for at least an hour everyday. In the U.S.A, about 183 million of people play video game everyday. Therefore, playing video game becomes a most popular active around the world. There are a number of positive and negative effects of video games.

As regards as negative effects of video games, I would like to talk about playing video game leads to physical problems on such as obesity. There are two reasons why playing video game winds up in obesity. First of all, because children usually have more free time, they have more opportunities to play video game. If they play video game without outside activates, which help children releases energy, they will gain weight very fast. In addition, children usually don’t like eating green vegetables, which can help children vitamin supplements, and children usually eat fast food when they play video time because they don’t want to stop playing video game.

Moreover, many people argue that playing video game ends up in psychological problems, which means video games make children more unsocial, and violence. If children spend lots of tome to play video game, they won’t have really friends in really world. Also, children will have low speaking skills because they spend too much time to play video game. Also, video game leads to juvenile delinquency. Violence games such as shooting games and mafia games can affect children’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Now, juvenile delinquency is a major social problem in every country.

However, I believe that playing video game still has many positive points even though most people believe playing video game is bad for children. Regarding positive effects of video game on children, I can mention communication skills. First, children can improve them teamwork skill, which very necessary in children’s student life and professional life, because children have to communication with other players. Moreover, playing video games, especially online games help children improve them language skills such as specking, reading, and grammar. Those are very good for children’s future life. In addition, video games also good for children’s hand-eye coordination. 

Fortunately, playing video game also has some positive psychological effects. Many people argue that video game contributes to many psychological problems, which leads to juvenile delinquency. I can understand them because nobody wants to see juvenile delinquency, however, in my opinion; playing video game is good for children’s growing up. For example, if children win praise in a game, they will much build self-confidence. Also, children will learn how to take risks, which is a very important ability to become a good leader, when they play video game with other players.

To sum up, I believe playing video game is good for children because it has many positive effects such as improve them communication skills and good for them growing up. However, to the best of my knowledge, many negative effects also root in playing too much video game. Therefore, children shouldn’t play too much video game even though it is good for them.

Obesity--Oscar

As regard as obesity, I can mention number of problems such as physical problems, psychological problems, and financial problems. Now, more than one-third of us adults (35.7%) are obese. Even though people pay more attention to obesity, it is still a most important problem around the world.

One important physical problem caused by obesity is diabetes, which in turn can lead to many dangerous illnesses such as heart problems and high blood pressure. In America nearly 35% of the population has diabetes. There are three reasons why people who are obese, usually have diabetes. First of all, people who have obesity usually have bad eating habits such as eating too much or too much junk food. As everyone knows, junk food such as fried food, frozen food, and fast food can make people gain weight very quickly. Therefore, if people eat too much junk food, they might have diabetes. Also, some people eating too much and they have diabetes even though they don’t eat junk food. Therefore, eating habits are very important for everyone.

In addition to diabetes, another reason why people who are obese, usually have diabetes is eating too much sugar or drinking too much soda.  There are three reasons why people like to drink soda. First, a number of people believe soda drinks such as coke and Pepsi are very delicious. For example, I drink soda with every meal because I think it is very good and tasty. Even though I drink diet coke, which is sugar free, it is very unhealthy. In addition, soda is very cheap and people can buy it everywhere. For example, a Double Gig Gulp soda in Seven Eleven is just two dollars. Also, drinking soda is a habit for some people. Drinking several sodas a day makes them feel good. Drinking soda also leads to other problems such as weakened bones, dental cavities, and kidney damage.

Moreover, the last reason why people who are obese, usually have diabetes is doesn’t have enough insulin. As everyone knows, insulin is like a key to open cells to sugar and people who don’t have enough insulin suffer from diabetes; therefore insulin is very important to everyone. If a person doesn’t have enough insulin, they will feel very uncomfortable. For example, people who have diabetes usually feel very tired because the cells in them body don’t have enough sugar and power. In addition, if a person doesn’t have enough insulin, that will lead to another dangerous illnesses such as heart problem, cancer, and high blood pressure.

Unfortunately, obesity also leads to some psychological problem. There are three reasons why obesity leads to some psychological problem. First of all, because of world aesthetical standard, people believe slim is hot, beautiful, and healthy. That reason makes a person who has obesity lose self-confidence. In addition, it is common knowledge that, people who have obesity usually have problem to find a good job. Even though they might have special skills, the HR still believes slim body is best. Also, obesity leads to heart attack. If a person has heart attack, they won’t do some exciting activists and that leads to psychological problem.

As for an effect of obesity, financial problems spring from obesity. There are three reasons why people who have obesity also have financial problems. First of all, people who have obesity usually eat too much and eat junk food, so eating cost is very high. To the best of my knowledge, because obesity leads to diabetes, people need to use insulin everyday. Therefore, using insulin everyday is very expensive; moreover, people who have diabetes have to eat healthy food such as fresh vegetables, sugar free food, and fresh fruits to vitamin supplements. In addition, financial problem is attributed to less job opportunity. Because people who have obesity, they don’t have a good job and paying for eating cost and health insurance, that their financial situation will be badly affected.

 In a nutshell, from my viewpoint, physical problems, psychological problems, and financial problems spring from obesity. In my opinion, good life style is good for obesity. For example, green vegetables, ice water, and do more exercises are three best choices for people who are obese. Fortunately, even though people are obese, it is not too late to follow my suggests

Today, when I drive the car, I listened an advertisement. A lot people like to choose leafy suburbs to live in the future. Why some people doesn’t choose upmarket to live? I don't know. If I were you, I also will choose leafy suburbs to live. Why I decided to live in suburb. Suburban living is a life style that   I am looking to escape from my work and the stresses of city life. The suburbs usually offer more than urban areas: more room for your home, more greenery and more opportunities to develop friendships with neighbors. A suburban home will cost my less than one of comparable size in the city.  Suburb house are often larger, and have more amenities. A larger home could also offer financial benefits，I can use the extra room as a design studio is used to design some handicrafts, and then sell it online. I think people are attracted by the beauty of the country. First, if one is in the country he feels he is closer to nature: small streams, high mountains, fresh air, green grass and so on, all this makes people happy and stirs up the love of life. Second, in the country, people seem to have more freedom. They can sing high in the field, ride horses along a brook, and can try to do some interesting farm works.

I can enjoy the fresh air. With the rapid development of the industrial that the city’s quality of life is getting worse and people’s physical and mental health are threatened. But suburb has not so many people and cars, has not many pollution, so living in the suburb is good for people’s physical and mental health, especially for our parents.

One of the topics in daily life is whether or not the older people should live with their adult children. For me, I prefer to live with my parents. I consider my parents as the most important people in my life. My parents spend their whole life to teach me everything that I have to learn about the life, and give me the good guide. Whenever I get into trouble and desperately need a hand, they come over first to support me and encourage me. I grew up with their constant care and love. While they’re getting older with grey hair and wrinkles, I have the responsibility to take care of them.

These are the reasons why I will choose the suburb to live. I hope that this will be a new life style for my family in the future. Also, I hope I can live according to my own will.
