As regard as obesity, I can
mention number of problems such as physical
problems, psychological problems, and financial problems. Now, more than
one-third of us adults (35.7%) are obese. Even though people pay more
attention to obesity, it is still a most important problem
around the world.
One important physical problem caused by
obesity is diabetes, which in turn can lead to many dangerous illnesses such as
heart problems and high blood pressure. In America nearly 35% of the population has diabetes. There are three reasons
why people who are obese, usually have diabetes. First of all, people who have
obesity usually have bad eating habits such as eating too much or too much junk
food. As everyone knows, junk food such as fried food, frozen food, and fast
food can make people gain weight very quickly. Therefore, if people eat too
much junk food, they might have diabetes. Also, some people eating too much and
they have diabetes even though they don’t eat junk food. Therefore, eating
habits are very important for everyone.
In addition to diabetes, another reason why
people who are obese, usually have diabetes is eating too much sugar or
drinking too much soda. There are three
reasons why people like to drink soda. First, a number of people believe soda
drinks such as coke and Pepsi are very delicious. For example, I drink soda
with every meal because I think it is very good and tasty. Even though I drink
diet coke, which is sugar free, it is very unhealthy. In addition, soda is very
cheap and people can buy it everywhere. For example, a Double Gig Gulp soda in
Seven Eleven is just two dollars. Also, drinking soda is a habit for some
people. Drinking several sodas a day
makes them feel good. Drinking soda also leads to other problems such as
weakened bones, dental cavities, and
kidney damage.
Moreover, the last reason
why people who are obese, usually have diabetes is doesn’t have enough insulin.
As everyone knows, insulin is like a key to open cells to sugar and people who don’t
have enough insulin suffer from diabetes; therefore insulin is very important
to everyone. If a person doesn’t have enough insulin, they will feel very
uncomfortable. For example, people who have diabetes usually feel very tired
because the cells in them body don’t have enough sugar and power. In addition, if a person doesn’t have enough insulin, that will lead
to another dangerous illnesses such as heart problem, cancer, and high blood
pressure.
Unfortunately,
obesity also leads to some psychological problem. There are three reasons why
obesity leads to some psychological problem. First of all, because of world
aesthetical standard, people believe slim is hot, beautiful, and healthy. That
reason makes a person who has obesity lose self-confidence. In addition, it is
common knowledge that, people who have obesity usually have problem to find a
good job. Even though they might have special skills, the HR still believes
slim body is best. Also, obesity leads to heart attack. If a person has heart
attack, they won’t do some exciting activists and that leads to psychological
problem.
As for an effect
of obesity, financial problems spring from obesity. There are three reasons why
people who have obesity also have financial problems. First of all, people who
have obesity usually eat too much and eat junk food, so eating cost is very
high. To the best of my knowledge, because obesity leads to diabetes, people need
to use insulin everyday. Therefore, using insulin everyday is very expensive;
moreover, people who have diabetes have to eat healthy food such as fresh
vegetables, sugar free food, and fresh fruits to vitamin supplements. In
addition, financial problem is attributed to less job opportunity. Because
people who have obesity, they don’t have a good job and paying for eating cost
and health insurance, that their financial situation will be badly affected.
In a nutshell, from my viewpoint, physical
problems, psychological problems, and financial problems spring from obesity.
In my opinion, good life style is good for obesity. For example, green
vegetables, ice water, and do more exercises are three best choices for people
who are obese. Fortunately, even though people are obese, it is not too late to
follow my suggests
